Dear Devotees,

The Siri Jayanti Association is embarking on a project to build an extension to the present Sri Lanka Buddhist Temple to house the ever increasing Buddhist Monks that are visiting the temple from time to time.

Today we have an average of about 10 Monks staying at the temple at any one time. During religious ceremonies and functions we can expect to have between 20 to 25 Monks at the temple. The present facilities that we have can only accomodate about 6 Monks and it is embarrassing to sometimes see Monks sleeping under very uncomfortable conditions.

In view of the above, we appeal to all devotees and well wishers to donate generously towards this cause and give our Monks a better place to live in. We have started construction of this extension in November 2007 and we expect to complete it in May 2008. The estimated cost of building this extension is about RM 376,000.00.
